Mk2 Capri (1974-1977)

February 1974 saw the Mk2 capri release which was known at the time as the Capri 2. This car was more tailered for everyday dirving and had a shorter bonnet, larger cabin and also a more practical hatchback rear door.

The Capri 2 kept the triangular headlights which are often the easiest way to distinguish between the MK2 and mk3 models. The Mk2 also had larger break fitted over the original Mk1 capri.

May 1976 saw the end of the 3000GT model due to diminishing sales. Instead the upscaled 3.0S and Ghia models were introduced.
